Default JBA headers for 3.9

I've been reading on this forum for a while (new to the forum as a member) and I've read of people having trouble finding headers for the 3.9 Magnum V6

JBA Performance Exhaust has a few different designs

http://products.jbaheaders.com/index.asp

Hope that helps

Cool. They are listed in FAQ2. Gibson is another brand.

they are just really expensive for the power you get out of the v6. you could allmost do a v8 swap for the amount the headers cost

Yeah I was think that as well.

I may be getting a 93 Dakota 3.9 from a friend, so I've been doing reasearch.

From what I can read, a good air intake and a larger diameter exhaust system are better investments.

ANy other ideas for DIY cheap mods?

full msd ingition cold air full synthetic oils either castrol (5w 30 or 10w 30) or royal purple oils, bosch plat 2s spark polugs, work excellent on my truck well its a 318 tho but a 3.9 is a scaled down version of the 318 and the 318 is a scaled down version of a 360.so its all the same motors just different sizes..!! i tryed those autolites they made my **** miss like crazy i put bosch plat 2 in runs strong everytime i step into it.. just a reminder kn and edelbrock are the kinda the same for round air cleaner breathers etc.. get a big chrome cleaner like edelbrok spectre or sum otha offbrand round breather and slap a large but rite size k&n filter on there and be done with it work just the same as a k&n breather just cheaper and a trottle body spacer beleive me if you do all the stuff datz posted you be smokin with dat lil 3.9 enough to hang...awe yeah clean out your intake too every tuneup...spray sum sea faom deep creep down in youre intake there..and get another bottle of seafaom for you gas tank and sum lukas injecter cleaner keep it clean dat really helps....!!! also getting a colder thermo stat and make sure you radiater stays clean and always at least every year or two change your radiater fluids i cant stress this enough folks always complain about a dodge radiater ****in up well thats why not flushing your fluids out.... and speaking of dat tranny fluids and filter should be mandatory twice a year at least make sure change em with high end fluids not cheap i dogs tha hell outta my tranny ever since i got 2nd gear 1st watever havent had a problem yet all of this youll be kickin ***..less trips to the mechanics garage the better PREVENITIVE MAINTENANCE!!!!!

Well back in the days the Dodge brothers were making there parts mainly for fords. So back then Fords were made with dodge parts. Almost the entire thing. That is why the Dodge brothers decided to make there own cars since there were already making everything. www.allpar.com has all the info if anyone wants it.

Thanks for all your advice. I've made my own exhaust systems for cars before and gutted a few cats. Not new to this plus I got a welder so, just looking for good advice from people experienced in Dakotas.

Do you all think this is a good tune up kit? Its from Accel at Jegs
