For the price of some headers you could swap a V8 yes. But unless you got a magnums you mine as well get the headers cuz the V6 mag has more power than an LA 318. I dont know if your V6 is LA or mag? If its a TBI or carb i would just swap V8 in that case .

Since were talking about performance parts on V6's I have a Mag V6 i just got for almost freeand i want to tear to block and maybe do an over bore of .030? What do you guys think. Could i just bore it and get new pistons with a 4" stroke. And be good?

So, if I used one of those tune-up kits, would it be a good idea to replace the coil with one of these?

http://www.jegs.com/i/Accel/110/140021/10002/-1

Or should I just use the stock coil?

Yeah, the truck has a Magnum V6, sorry, forgot to mention that.

I'm familiar with the 5.9 engine, I work on a couple of them quite often for a friend (doing regular maintenance on Ram 3500 vans) so I probably would consider sourcing a V8 throttle body.

DO the 318 and 360 Magnum engines use the same TB? WOuld I need to bore out the intake manifold ports to match the v8 TB?

Thanks for all your help so far

I just saw a set of R/T wheels and tires on craigslist near where I live for 400 dollars.....

I'd get the wheels for that much money....

Yes 5.2 and 5.9 TB are the same. As far as I know no you don't have to bore out anything just a simple bolt on.

Oh ok, good to know.

How about replacing the stock coil with that Accel one? Is it worth it?

I didn't notice any more power but I think its worth it, to know that it can put out more than stock.
