LOL!! You owned me there dude, that was a good one!
I couldn't stand it before the first scratch (when I dropped my truck off the jack stands onto the axle shaft), but ever since it got its first scratch, its been a lot easier to stomach other stuff happening to it. That, and I'm not afraid to pick up a high speed buffer, or even a paint gun for that matter.
I like the scratches a little, which is why I want to paint my truck with military CARC paint because I can't handle having a nicely painted truck and let it get scratched. If I did a killer paint job in Hemi orange I don't think I could park my truck next to other cars let alone take it on a trail. Lol.
DOn't know how you do it 95_318SLT.![Smile](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

You are better than I am in that department for sure. I will take the time to get rust off, and wash and wax, but I never buff. Maybe I should start? It could probably use it.
In all honesty though, I am very jealous of your flares. I wish I had a set to take off and buff underneath. Sooner or later I will find something.
I got the second gen seats ready to go. You have a nice looking truck, helps when you don't have all that salt on the ground too.

Thanks!! Yeah, it spent it's entire life in this state (I have all the old registrations to prove it)... and we get a salt/sand mix on the roads maybe 2 or 3 days out of the entire winter, so cars down here stay in great shape.
Lol, I actually hate to buff, its a long, drawn out, tedious task, but the only reason the clear coat on my truck is so slick right now (not orange peely) is cause the week after I painted it I sanded it down with 1500 grit sandpaper and buffed it for 6 hours! (I know what you're thinking, why would I take it offroad right?) As much as I don't like buffing, I love the look of a freshly buffed car/truck. And as for taking off the fender flares... if you've ever gotten wax or rubbing compound on plastic, it turns it white... so I don't want that to happen.

I know where you're coming from there... hell last few years, we used so much salt we were out by mid january... and winter's only getting started by then!
