Power Brake Booster Question
Ok, finally getting back into working on the truck.
Got my power brake booster installed. Pressed on the brake pedal (without the master cylinder on, haven't bench bleed it yet) and the master cylinder rod came off (being pointed to in the picture) I immediately went to the old booster, and it didn't come off when I pulled on it.
However, I looked at it, and it seems to just fit in to a cup inside the brake booster (maybe the old one is just corroded in place?)
Any one know if this is ok or if it's a problem?
For those of you that are wondering when in the hell I'm gonna actually get done with this project... I need to get new master cylinder brake fittings (they use slightly longer fittings), and than I can run my lines. I temp. installed all the control arms. And am almost ready to initially fill and run through the new steering pump/rack. I'm getting there guys!!

the pin on many brake boosters just sits there in the cup and is held in place by the master cylinder piston. I've seen that in many cars.
Obviously the OEM is not like that but if you got the right replacement, then it might just be a product improvement. CHeck part numbers wherever you ordered it and if its ok, I wouldn't worry about it
