Rear Diff
Just got off the phone with local dodge dealer the reason they don't have a breakdown is that its not rebuildable. So now I am up a the creek with no paddle

Ya your right! I thought Sure grip sounded wrong. But the FSM for 94-96 has the brake down for the LSD for the Dana 06, 70, 80 models. On pages 67-up. And 90-93 pages 73.
A little update finally got it torn down. Broke down and bought a Eaton Detroit locker. The Sure Grip was toast pieces of springs, spider gears and the housing it was ugly. Fortunately a close inspection of the pinion and ring gears showed no knicks or scratch's. I got it back together getting the ring gear adjustment rings lined up on the bearing journals was bitch. Now a quick question for those of you that have done diffs what did you use to turn adjustment rings to get the clearance on the ring gear and pinion?

I used a spare torsion bar from my truck. Its the right size allen head and plenty long enough!!!! Also, I'm sure you know this, make sure you use a dial indicator to get the backlash to between .005" and .008"
So a torsion bar works? Cool, I can probably get one cheaper than the special tool for when I do mine.
Uh yeah my truck does not have torsion bars. But I ended up making a tool to do the job. Now my question for the guys with Detroit lockers do you notice anymore wheel hop then before you put the locker diff in? Boy does it drive different now it push's more in turns now then before. For first and hopefully last differental change I think I did pretty good job no howling from the rearend after I was done. It took me forever to get the backlash right I am right down the middle of the tolerance range. On another note never get differental bearings from Autozone they do not carry them and they will try and give you the ones for 7 1/4 diff. And a BIG THANKS forever ones sage knowledge.

Yes a locker will "push" if you gas it in corners, use light throttle and it will unlock.
When both of my tires spin I usually get wheel hop, so, with a Detroit they will always both spin so you are more likely to have wheel hop.

Ya with a non slectable locker, it is easyer to slip the tires. I don't have a Detriot locker. But I do have a locker. For me I never have gotten wheel hop. But it is probably due to my HD Ram 2500 leaf springs. You can just go easy on the gas when turning. Sometimes if I have enough room, I will press the gas hard enough to give me a push before I start into the turn, then cost through the turn.
