i believe he said it had a 5 speed in it but he didnt sound to sure if it did or not.i could use the transfer case out of that one? okay nevermind i see what you are saying if i do use the othier transfer case like i will most likely have to do. the shifter may not be in the same spot would i have to change out the back or front drive line?would the out put shaft be the same on both engines?

The front and rear driveshafts won't work. The NV3500 is something like 7 inches shorter than the 46rh and the slip yoke on the rear driveshaft is only good for about 2 inches. I'm sure most any other manual transmission will have similar lenths. Everything you need to know about the swap itself is covered in my thread.

The engines don't really have an output shaft. There is a small round plate on the end of the crankshaft that the flywheel bolts to. You will need to worry about the input shaft to the transmission though.

If your just looking for the tranny there are rebuilt ones all over ebay for not much more than youd be getting into that truck for. I realize youd still need linkages and such, but it would suck to buy that whole truck get everything swapped and have the tranny fail shortly after.

It might get you by for a while, but the torque curves on the two motors are completely different. If you do any hard wheeling or even road travel or towing it will most likely fail relatively quickly. Also not sure if your transfer case will bolt up but I doubt it.
