if you have an auto darkening helmet... make sure it doesn't have an on switch before you use it. I have a nice miller hobby series auto darkening, and I can't count how many times I've been tiging, and forgot to turn it on before striking the arc. when running at 170 amps... it hurts... a lot.

Oh yeah, and never under estimate the importance of proper surface preparation. (a wire brush will become your best friend)

I had the same problem with the upper ball joints on my 95. The passenger side was stripped at the drive side didnt even move so we left that one in it. We broke a pipe wrench and bent a breaker bar on the driver side joint so we gave up. It still passed inspection so thats all the matters.
