i want a locker rear end
#2
Well what rear axle do you have now? If it's the 8 1/4 you can get a locker installed. If you have the 7 1/4 inch, you need to swap in an 8 1/4 or 9 1/4 inch and then install one. Lockers never came as factory equipment so you'll have to pay a shop to install it. But if you get a new rear axle, you must get one from a dakota or durango because they are the only trucks with our lug pattern.

there is only one true rear locker, the rest are limited slip to different degrees. the air locker is the best i have studied. push a button and the rear locks 50/50 each side. unlock it and you got an open diff. why are you guys debating about lockers when you can have the best of both worlds.

I personally think the lunchbox lockers like the powertrax no-slip are the best option. Cheap, easy to install, strong enough for most stuff any of us will be doing! Also I hear they are good about unlocking when they need to unlock. You'd spend about a 1/3 what you'd spend to get air.
Lol, I didn't realize there was a debate going on!
