i even replaced the coil but still have no spark i tested with a light tester if it had a pos and a neg going to it when i turn the key and wound up finding it has 2 positives im stumped did a wire fry? is a relay poped or what would do this ive tryed putting a negitive wire on the - side and left one + on the other but still get no spark i dont know what would do it so any help for a newb at this would be greatfull
In 89 there were no 4.7l. Just 3.9 v6 and 2.5 4cly. Or if your lucky 5.2 V8 in the shelbys only. Unless its is was swapped in. To me your problem sounds like the computer is not putting out the signal to the coil. It may be from a failed sensor or wires to power the comp. Or wires from the comp to the coil. Tons of possibilities! The only way to know for sure is for you to check all wires.
