Question Yes another Mopar CPU thread. Help Pls!

I am in the process of redoing a 92 C/C 4x4. Originally had a 318 that I am swapping a 360 into. I know that a 93 Mopar Performance 5.9 PCM will work for my setup and not throw any codes but that is a rare & elusive pcm to locate. I also know that a regular pcm for a 93 W150 5.9 will work and not throw any codes. My question is this. I am finding several Mopar Performance 5.9 PCM for 94's & 95's both for Ram's and Jeep's. I know these pcm's will plug into my setup but I am wondering about throwing any codes. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks

I don't know for sure, but as far as I know it will work. One of the big differences between '92-'93 and '94-'95 is the speed sensor setup. On the '92-'93s the speedometer was cable driven but it had an electric speed sensor for other systems. On the '94-'95s, they had an all electrical speed sensor/speedometer setup. I believe if you go up in years with the computer, it will still work, but if you had a '94-'95 and tried to go down in years your speedometer would quit working.

If you rely wanted to the know the difference. Go to the service manuals we have listed in the FAQ and look at all the different vehicles you listed and see if all the wires going in the computer are the exact same place.

I looked at the service manual for my pinouts from alldata and compared them to the pinouts from a 1995 I downloaded here. There are two differences that I hope someone can give me info on.

#1 On my 1992 at PIN 5 I have a signal ground that goes to the diagnostic connector. This is not there on the 1995 PCM. Do I really need this ground?

#2 On my 1992 at PIN 56 I have an "EMR" that goes to slot "c" on the right printed circuit board connector. This is not there on the 1995 PCM. What is "EMR" and is this needed?

Everything else is spot on so I'm good there. Hopefully someone can chime in on this. Thanks again!
