I would toss in a new fuel filter just because. Probably not the issue here, but wouldnt hurt.

There is a splice under the hood that many people here seem to have an issue with. Id check that out as its a known issue.

Im not sure if a 90 is carbed or not. If it is hose it down with carb cleaner and let it set for a few minutes. That may clear up a few issues as well.

Sounds like an injector/carb problem. If its injectors take them off and go have them professionally cleaned. If its a carb maybe its time to take it off and soak it in fuel or rebuild it.

i took off the injectors and cleaned the screens off with gas and it still has the same problem i double checked all the hoses and wires going to the carb none dissconected or anything double checked the tightness of the 4 bolts that held on the carb they were ok as far as i can tell something electrical is messed up i was told there was a cam sensor? it tells the comp how fast the idle is and adjusts the gas flow to that rpm but if it has gone bad it will just stay in choke is this true and if so where is this senser? ive looked and checked my manual and still wont give me a clue on where it is and how to check and see if its allright and also another bit of info on my truck is it sat for 4-5 years with a leak so some of the electrical componets inside are corroded is there anyway to clean them economicly or is it a teardown ?

thanks to everyone for helping me out getting the old beast going again id be lost without your help
