I got to mine just fine. Depending on the motor there should be 4 or 5 bolts. my 95 318 had 4. I was able to get to them with out removing anything. Thats the nice thing about a truck IMO is the fact that I can crawl into the engine bay and work on the motor! haha becareful not to get "goosed" by the bolt sticking out the top of the intake for the air cleaner! That'll wake up the neighbors!
I crawled into the engine bay and sat right on top of the motor to get to them bolts.
