Default almost outta daylight need answer quick lolz....!!!!

wat is the torque pressure on a intake manifold i forget.....i just cleaned my motor out and this is the last thing i have to do before im done thanx folks....

Which engine? You don't just tighten the bolts, there is a specific procedure you have to follow that is different for each engine.

Ya it would help if you said what motor. Next time if your in a hurry and don't have time to wait for others to find the answer. You can always go to the FAQ in this section. We have several online service manuals. That will save you hours waiting for a response from one of us.

This is copied from the FSM...

3.9L ENGINE
Step 1 - Tighten bolts 1 and 2 to 8 N m (72 in. lbs.) torque. Tighten in alternating steps of 1.4 N m (12 in.lbs.) torque at a time.

Step 2 - Tighten bolts 3 thru 12, in sequence, to 8 N m (72 in. lbs.) torque.
Step 3 - Check that all bolts are tightened to 8 N m (72 in. lbs.) torque.
Step 4 - Tighten all bolts, in sequence, to 16 N m (12 ft. lbs.) torque.
Step 5 - Check that all bolts are tightened to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.) torque.


5.2L ENGINE

Step 1 - Tighten bolts 1 thru 4, in sequence, to 8 N m (72 in. lbs.) torque. Tighten in alternating steps of 1.4 N m (12 in. lbs.) torque at a time.



Step 2 - Tighten bolts 5 thru 12, in sequence, to 8 N m (72 in. lbs.) torque.

Also on the Magnum engines the torque for the intake bolts is cast into it.

i was wondering if you guys had the torque specifications for the plenum on the 3.9? i was looking for it on the FAQ but couldnt find anything that told me. i have a strange feeling that my mechanic installed the hughes plenum fix wrong. or at least he didnt torque it properly... i sure hope not tho, otherwise shes gunna just keep burning oil since i already have to get a new starter and dont have the money for it as it is...

In the FAQ go to the Service "Manual section", there you can download 2 service manuals. Also 2 or 3 online manuals. In the 95 service manual that you can download go to section 11. page 9.
