Default looking for remote start

Going to put a remote start on my 95 Dakota.

Just looking for basic remote start, nothing fancy, no alarm.

anyone have any good suggestions?

Try autozone or most parts stores. They have them for $30 or so.

I see you have a 93 dak, do you have a wiring diagram pdf you can hook me up with?

I'd be much obliged. I've done quite a bit of work on cars, so I can complete the task of installing a remote start; but not using the haynes manual. I just don't trust it.

I may have to just spring for the FSM.

Do you have much experience using the Haynes manual's electrical diagrams for your truck?

FWIW when I installed one in my Cherokee, Bulldog had a harness available that eliminated any cutting of the ignition wires. I don't know if one is available for the Dakota but it sure sped up installation time.

Ya check out the FAQ in this section for complete wiring diagrams. I installed one. It is very simple. Just hook up the post. neg. starter relay. The ignition to the a the ASD relay.
