Radio Issue
Hey guys. My names Ben, I am new to the forum. I have a 1996 Dakota V6/automatic/2wd. I searched and didnt find my issue. So here it is:
I have no FM stations any more. AM works, clock works, tape deck works. All i get with FM is static. Also, lets say i put the radio on preset 1 which is 102.3 and i get static, i manually change the station to say 94.1 and its dead silent. Turn the radio off and turn it back on its back on 102.3.
Any suggestions?
Thanks guys

The FM tuner pack in the radio is probably bad. A good car audio shop can repair it for you. I don't know exactly how much it would cost to fix it but I would guess at least $100.00. You can replace the radio with a good aftermarket unit that will play AM/FM, CD and probably MP3 or Ipods for less than $150.00 nowadays. It might be a good idea to shop around for a new one before fixing the old radio.
