Body roll is the effects of centrifugal force that cause the sprung weight of the vehicle to lean left when you turn right or vise versa. The job of the sway bar is to help counter that by transfering some of the force put on one side of the suspension to the other side, but it also limits the independance of the IFS. Obviously, even with the sway bar, you get a little body roll, but its a lot more noticable without it.

thats sweet. but now its got me wondering... do you think a 2WD will acheive that 1/2 inch of lift by removing the sway bar too? keeping in mind i have rack and pinion steering and i suppose in a sence, IFS...

I doubt it would come up the same amount. I had the torsion bars cranked up to the bump stops, so there was a lot more force on them than the factory rating, which would have amplified the effect of removing the sway bar.

Body roll is how much the vehicle body tends to lean during turns, etc.

Ok so i did know what it was, just never knew it was called body roll, But does that mean you can easily tip the vehicle over while making a faster or sharper turn or will it just lean real bad tawerd the side?

Well if there is enough body roll, a vehicle can tip over, but like I said earlier, it didn't turn out being bad at all.
