Yeah, like Crazy said, make sure the connectors are the same. If they are, the only harness you should need is the one for the top of the engine (3 throttle body sensors, fuel injectors, etc.).

One other thing I just noticed in that picture... your front left tire looks a lot more worn than the others. You should make sure the ball joints and tie rods are good, and get an alignment check.

btw 93 motor is almost in got it sitting on the cherry picker will put it in tonight hook everything up and tomorrow i go to the junkyard if need be and get her running then i got a air horn under the hood i gotta fix the wires for the spotlights up front are cut gotta fix those and put a radio in ohh and last but not least ALIGNMENT

I'm not sure what you mean by caps, but the cv shafts are held onto the axle half shafts by 6 bolts...

Like I said before, you'll need that harness for the injectors or you could make one.

The computer has no control over 4 wheel drive, so theres no need for a 4x4 computer.

Nice lookin Dakota, i personaly dont see to many from mines "era" (87-91) that are jacked up like that, By the way, i was wondering why did you want to replace the original 3.9, was it bad or what?, and me personaly, i would rather (and im looking to) put in an LA 318 with a matching tranny in my Dakota, because i personaly wouldnt want to deal with all the computer and electricle crap and id go with the 318 because ive been told many times i can easily get it to push out 300 HP or more and still probably get about the same gas milage even though i think my 3.9 could get more if i just replaced some sencers

Be sure to write up a good post about any custom parts you make!!!! I designed a lift kit for my truck, I just haven't had the time to pursue building it.
