Vapour Lock?

Vapour Lock?
Another more technical question.
When it is a HOT day, and you have been driving a while my 92 Dakota (V6) will not idle at all, runs fine when you are on the road and have a good load on the engine but at lower RPM's it just cuffs and quits.
If I were dealing with planes I would say it sounds and acts just like vaporization of the fuel. Any Idea?
Also some times the car will just quit dead, even driving along at 70MPH along the interstate the ignition just goes cold and the engine quits. All electrics stop when it does this too, the only way to fix it is to switch of the ignition and turn it back on again????????

The idling issue sounds to me like the IAC is worn out or stuck. This is located at the back of the throttle body. Remove it and see if it turns free. If it doesn't, replace it and reset the computer.
The ignition issue sounds like the power splice to the ASD relay is in the initial stages of getting corroded. There is more on this issue in FAQs or FAQ2.
