Default '94 front end alignment question

Dodge Dakota 6 cyl. 2 wheel drive.

There is a rod about 10" long inside the hood on each side of the motor and runs front to back and has something to do with the alignment. The rubber is bad. I got two nuts off the the two bolts pointing upward on one rod.

How do they come off after that if I get all the nuts off? I'm thinking only 3 are necessary.

I won't be able to do the alignment, so would I be better off having a mechanic do the whole thing?
Thanks.

You may be talking about the control arm bushings. I have no Idea! A pic would be nice. Also you can go to the FAQ and get the service manual to find out how to remove this ROD.
