Lol, I know :P I had used your pics in your album for ideas on how to hold it up!

I actually used a standard floor jack and a large pile of various length 4x4 wood blocks I have. I stepped it up a little at a time on each side until I could clear the tires on the frame.

Put that way it sounds easy. Maybe when I get my commuter back on the road and next years taxes. My baby just hit 200605 miles this morning. I think its time...

This has been a blast watching all of your response. Thank you. But what I have found out since then as that my pitman arm needs to be replaced. So now do I go with mopar and with an after market part?

I was gonna do TRW for my joints. They arent as expensive as MOOG or mopar, but have a lifetime warranty.

I'd go for either as long as it's got a grease fitting and you actually use it. FWIW borrow the pitman arm puller and the fork from Advance Auto the one from Autozone is crap. Tighten the puller down as much as possible and then whack the side of the arm with a hammer and it should come off.

I had play in my steering and it was the pitman arm. It is a pain to get off, definately get a few pullers from your local autozone, and match the puller to the new pitman arm you are buying because its not the standard puller that will work, as usual. With a lot of pounding and some heating I eventually got it off. The pitman arm puller (or wedges) were useless for the pitman arm.

I take my truck to NTB for an alignment when its bad, and when they come back they give me a print out of all the components with play in them, then I replace them and go back.
