Bumps 1 gen Dakota Build up
Hey all, reviving an old thread. Been on a ford forum for a while working on another project. Built up this custom flatbed 84 F250HD 460 4x4 over the winter. My pulling, hunting, fishing truck...

Still not done, but done enough to go back to the dodge. While I was building that ford, I tried to sell my dodge. Had lots of interest, but everyone was scared away. I cant believe I could not sell a running driving v8 4x4 for only $1500. crazy I think....
So anyway, I guess I will revive my build thread and stick some work back into the old girl. This weekend I stripped everything off of it and got it ready for body work.

Spent an afternoon at the pick-a-part and got a replacement fender for the wrecked one and a new aftermarket tailgate. I bashed mine in with a trailer tongue.

Check out that rust that was hiding under the fender flares! haha
Going to start with paint (all black) and bedliner and see where we go from there. Sticking with the same theme... 33" tire range, no major but some lift, thinking about SAS too, all black, bedliner protection all over the place, lotsa lights (as you can see from the above pictured project, I have a fetish for lights).

Well.... I suppose I owe it to the old girl to close this thread. The dodge has moved on. ended up finding something I could not live with out and needed some coin for it. ended up selling the dodge as it was for $800. Just needed it gone.
On the good side, it was replaced by something that is turning out to be fun for the whole family.

so, it is with a heavy heart that I close this thread. Far well to the Dak.

It is! 350 chevy motor makes it get up and go for a 24.5 foot and 2600# boat.
FYI.... for all you dodge lovers..... this is a heavy boat. tandem axle trailer. and my 4.7L '02 durango pulled this thing just fine! I was really impressed. out of overdrive and averaging 60-65 MPH I got 12.5mph! Pulled the boat 350 miles back from MN to ND.
no mods needed. popped right on.
