Default Sway bar- from 80's Ram

I was perusing another ambiguous site. The OP mentioned a mid 80's Ram swaybar is a direct bolton for 1st gen 2wd dakota's. Anyone hear this or have tried it?

I never heard of it, but it might be possible. It would seem the Ram would be to long. There are several thickness of stock Dakota sway bars. I would say hit the Junkyards with some calipers and measure some bars. Also there are rear aftermarket sway bars kits which both together will help.

Follow up:

I procured a sway bar today from a 93. The bracket holes DO NOT line up. Also, someone has mentioned that all Dakota's come with anti-sway bars. I cannot, in good conscious, agree to this as I have looked at many potential donor trucks, and very few have the sway bars on them. Anyone got some pre 91 brackets lying around?
