New Caliper
I bought a re-manufactured brake caliper today. I was going through the box and I wasn't sure what this one part was that came with the kit. Has anyone else bought a re-manufactured brake caliper and got this part. It looks like it would clip onto and help to hold the outside caliper. So can anyone help me and tell me what this is? Couldn't figure out how to post a picture so my profile picture is a picture of the caliper. Its the silver thing on the bottom of the picture.

they used the retainer for a while on jeep grand cherokees some other chryslers also if
yours is not equiped on left or right side you wont need it. unless someone before you removed it? other than the clip is the caliper the same?

I realy dont know. but the clip is used to keep the caliper in place on the outboard side
jeep change to a new style I think in the early 2000's. If the other side has the holes like the new one you could put the spring on both sides
