Im sure it will handle it crazy but your talking about putting a much greater force on parts. Not that that isnt true with upgrading tires on any suspension, but still worth noting. A lot of people think you can just max out your tire size and suspension and expect the truck to handle and joints and such to last forever. When in reality running bigger tires and heavy tread requires much better maintenance if you want your truck to last.

Seems like your best bet up front would be V8 coils and a spacer, but like crazy said that may be really hard to get in there.

In the rear an add a leaf and maybe some longer shackles should do the trick.

Yes it can. I had 31's on my 2wd and I abused it. I never had problems with it. As far to my knowledge it is the same ball joints or at least the same size.

i tried the link in faq2 for the leaf springs but it doesnt work, can anybody give me a link to what i need for 5" of total lift? i have the 2" body lift and the links to the spacers but i dont know exactly what else i need. even just a 4" would be nice but i would like a little more.
And don't forget to add the coil spacers. Go to www.summitracing.com and do a search for leaf springs.

will these parts work?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RSP-SM01-3700-V8/

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLF-2500/

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BEL-6425/

i know very little about lifting my truck.

how much lift does adding a leaf spring give you? will it be comparable to the v8 coil and spacers in the front?

ok so 2" body lift, 4 1" coil spacers, bigger coils, add a leaf, and longer shackles. will i need anything else to give to my mechanic?

You only need 2 spacers. Running 2 spacers per coil would be dangerous. You can get 2" spacers if needed.

Not sure on the coils you listed but everything else looks like it will work.

Well I had two 1in spacers per coil One on top and one on the bottom. It was not dangerous at all. It was safe. Yes you can get a 2in spacer.

Don't know about the coil you listed. It doesn't say it is for the Dakota. Did you do a search by your vechicle info?

Don't know how much those add a leaf will add. It doesn't say. Most will say how much it will lift on the page.

Don't know if those spring hangers will work. Again did you search by your vechicle info?

these are listed under my model, says it will lift it 1.5 to 2.5"

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EXP-13120/

these shackles are lifted but doesnt say how much lift they will give

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BEL-6425/

cant find any coil springs tho.

if the add a leaf will give it 2.5" then the coil springs arent a big deal, i can just do the coil spacers on the front and the 2" body lift. however i would like it to be as big as possible.

That is a 4wd. With a 4in suspension lift. And 3in body lift. Your only option is custom made system. Or get a 4wd.
