1990 dakota lifts.
i have a 2wd 90 dakota, i found a 2" body lift here: http://www.suspensionconnection.com/...scon/642X.html
and want to put a suspension lift on also but i have some questions first.
where can i find a suspension lift for this truck, it seems i cant find anything for it.
how hard are the body/suspension lifts to put on?
and what will be the biggest tire size i will be able to fit with various lift sizes after the 2" body lift?
this is mainly just for looks and occasionally riding through a little bit of mud, not a lot.

The body lift is not hard to do the only hard thing is to cut and weld in a spacer for the shift linkage. The kit includes instructions.
There is one suspension lift. 4in for $1,700. You can check the FAQ2 in this section for the link.
Your best bet is to crank the stock torsion bars. Or if that is not enough buy re-indexed keys. You can find the link in the FAQ2.

The only thing you can do for 2wd besides the body lift is get some coil spacers up front and blocks or shackles in the back.

Ya ether way you can look at the FAQ2 for lift Ideas on 2wd also.
so basically i can put a coil spacer on top and bottom of the coils for 2" more, can i add the bigger springs also for even more lift?
im trying to get about 5" total, more if it would be cheap. i found a 2" body lift kit for like 90 bucks.
if i add a leaf, how much lift will that give the truck? i need more ideas for the rear, the spring over axel seems like an awesome idea, however then i need to find a way to lift the front 5" without the body lift.
give me some good ideas on what to do!
also, if i do 5" of lift, i saw with 4 i will only be able to run 31" tires, would it be easy enough to cut my wheel wells and try to put some jeep wrangler wheel wells on there or something? im trying to run 33s.

Its hard to achieve that much lift with these trucks, especially cheap. And when you do your going to be pushing your factory equipment pretty hard. Im not sure how well the factory front of a 2wd would hold up to 33's, but I doubt very well.
Yes you can do 2in coils and a taller coil. The only problem is it is going to be hard to get it in. So maybe 3in suspension. Then 2in body. With Add a leaf the amount of lift depends on what you buy. The truck can handle 33's. It is just getting clearance for it. The fenders is going to be in the way no the wheel well.

thing that is funny, its actually easier to lift the 2wd trucks rather then the 4wd lol.
just put leafs above axle, with blocks.. and the coils up front. , you dont have much option to lift the front for the 4wd

On 2wd you can't use blocks because their leafs are opposite of 4wd. So add a leaf is the best option to lift the rear. Or do a SOA swap which will add way to much lift. And there are more options for 4wd to lift it than 2wd.
ok so what i should do is add a leaf spring and get longer coils?
i tried the link in faq2 for the leaf springs but it doesnt work, can anybody give me a link to what i need for 5" of total lift? i have the 2" body lift and the links to the spacers but i dont know exactly what else i need. even just a 4" would be nice but i would like a little more.
