Default Stereo questions

I just got a stereo setup for my 88... Alpine CDE-9874 reciever, 5x7 Polk Momo rears and 6" Kenwood fronts.

Can I use the original wiring with the stock clips etc.? I also read in another 6" speakers will fit in the fronts with no modifications... Will I need a wiring harness for the Reciever?...

Just wanted to ask the stupid questions before I start putting everything in.

Youll want to buy the install kit. Its basically 2 plugs that plug into the factory harness and give you color matched wires to splice into. Not necessary, but it makes everything clean and nice to work with.

Yes the 6 inch will work fine in the front.

No you cant use the stock plugs on the speakers, just cut them off and splice yours in.

Walmart has them too. Just look at the back of the box to find your application.

I will post up pics as soon as I'm done. I just finished wiring the harness and there was no ground wire, just curious where did you guys put your ground?
