Default Wheel Bearing or Ball Joints?

I've got a 1996 Dodge Dakota 4x4 3.9 that recently starting wobbling a bit around 40 mph. I jacked it up today and noticed there is some slight play when I push to top of the tire in. My question is, could this be a bad wheel bearing or bad ball joints? Is there any way to check for sure? Thanks.

Based on the notorious problems with these trucks, I'm going to guess ball joints. If you want to know for sure, jack it back up and look at the ball joints as you push the top of the tire in. If its the ball joints, the entire knuckle will move with the wheel, if its the wheel bearing, the wheel will move on the knuckle and the ball joints will remain still.

My guess would be the ball joints because wheel bearings usually wont cause a wobble, they tend to make noise more. Try to pry the control arms away from the knuckle on the top and bottom, if there is any play in the ball joints that is probably whats causing the wobble.
