Default 90 rear end

what up everyone. So i got my dakota the other day and have started the plans for my upcoming project. while i have alot already figured out i still cant find any info on a rear end that i should use. Let me first start by giving so general info on my truck and project. I have the 1990 dakota RWD, regular cab. I have a big block 440 engine and a 727 tranny that im putting in over the winter. So what would you guys recommend that can handle that kind of power and more.

thanks ill post so pics of my project by next weekend.

Josh

The stock Chry 8.25 can handle it, but just to be sure go with a Chry 9.25. Get one out of a 2nd gen Dakota or a durango. They are a simple swap in. Check the FAQ2 in this section for a write up on a rear end swap.
