A generic aftermarket keyless entry with two motors, and full install usually runs about $85 to $100 in most shops.

good to know, thx.

how about remote starters? are they bad for my truck for any reason?

Other than the typical pitfalls of letting a "modern" engine run to warm-up, etc (mfr recommend against it) - thats the only drawback -
