Wow WTF dodge did a good job engineering that. What's the cost for replacement, and how hard is it to replace? If I ever do a 5spd swap I think I'm going to make my own setup. Lol.

Now that I think of it my Toyota mr2 had adjustable pedal also

It actually can't be easier to replace. I don't blame out for building your own in that situation! Thats what I'm going to do with my 2wd.

how easy? And your talking about this hydrolic system right? Could 2 slightly over average mechanics do it in a day? It was $1000 to get my bro's replaced and i dont have that much so if i could pay just for parts, that would be great. Save a butload on labour

I would say you should be abl to. Its only a few bolts and a couple pins.

We're talking 2 bolts/nuts on the slave cylinder, the master cylinder is locked in place by twisting it in the mount and then clipped onto the pedal, and the resevoir is screwed into the firewall. It all comes out as an assembly and goes back in as an assembly. 1 average mechanic can do it in 10 minutes.

As for cost, it's $174.80 on moparpartsamerica.com, so it's probably similar at the dealership.

alright. I'll price one out. Is that what its pointing to? I see where you think its a pressure issue. If it aint that, then the clutch next?

My guesses in order of likelyness are:

1) Hydraulic system is going out
2) Pressure plate fingers are wearing out
3) Some kind of oil is getting on the clutch disc.

I can't say for sure which one without seeing the truck myself, but those are the 3 top culprits for the issue you described. The only way to know for sure is to pull the transmission.

i went to the Dodge dealer. They want $410 for the whole hydrolic system. Slave cylinder and master cylinder. The parts lady said to check Napa or Bumper to Bumper so i'll check there tmrrw and see if i can find it cheaper.
