Name that screech?!?!?!
first of all i know what a belt sounds like when its loose and its not that...
today when i started up my truck for about the first 10 seconds it made this loud sounding metal on metal screeching noise... almost sounded like a dinosaur out of a movie but high pitched one... the idle on the truck was fine, i reved a couple times didnt change speed or tone of pitch and it finally went away... ive also noticed sometimes when im driving at random the noise will come for a few seconds... highway crusing and driving around town shifting(manual transmission)....
does anybody have any ideas??
truck drives fine but i dont know if somethings about to blow up or not

The usual culprits for squeeling are tentioner pulleys(if applicable), air conditioner pulleys, or power steering pulleys. In my experience they are the most likely to squeel. Like crazy said, spray some penetrant on them with the motor running. Just be mindful of your fingers and the fan.
Was your ac on? Mine would do that this summer after I swapped motors. Was the AC pully.
Watch the fingers and fans, but also watch your eyes when you spray liquid on a rapidly spinning object!
Kinda like hitting a pile of fresh dog crap with a lawn mower.

If the screech only occurs with the clutch pedal depressed, it is very likely to be the throwout bearing, but when the clutch is not depressed and it screeches (while crusing on the highway like you mentioned), it can't be the throwout bearing cause nothing is spinning it... unless you have a bad habit of riding the clutch pedal.
Another culprit could be the pilot bearing. Or I hate to say it, but any other bearing inside the transmission itself.
FAQ2 has a link to the '95 FSM, which will be close enough to your '93 for most any problem or project you have going on.

the screeching is really damn loud when the clutch is pressed down, when i let go, its very very quiet or u can hear it at all, by the way it sounds like something is hissing sometimes too, like before when it didnt make the sound at all, when i pressed the clutch down all the way, the truck was pretty silent and when i let off, it kinda makes a quiet hissing sound... i dont know if thats supose to happen or not

Well, there are two bearings in within the bellhousing. The pilot bearing has rollers that are about the width of pencil lead (the old school wood pencils, not the mechanical pencils), and I'm not sure about the throwout bearing... never seen one blown apart before. But based on your description, I would say its the throwout bearing, cause the parts sound too big for the pilot bearing.
