Water pump problem
Well looks like my water pump went, im leaking coolant like crazy from the front of the motor. Haven't looked in detail to see where exactly its leaking but I did take a peak under the trunk and its definitly dripping down the front of the motor. Are these difficult to change? (92 318 4x4)
Also having a lil idle problem. It only does it if I drive the truck for an extended period of time...like 20 or minutes. It takes me bout 15 mins to get to work but if I drive it anymore the problem occures. The issue is it not wanting to idle while in drive at a stop, sometimes I even have to throw it in neutral to keep it running when stopping at a stop light. My first instinct is the Idle Air Control Valve. Thinkin bout taking it off and giving it a good cleaning. My only worry is when I first got the truck I didnt have a problem, drove it for over an hour the first day I had it and no idle issue. Then I had trans work done(new trans seals and torque convertor) and now I have this problem. Sometimes it hesitates during accleration now too. The shop replaced the cap and rotor as well.
So much to do to this truck, so little time and money...

The pump replacement isn't that difficult once you get that friggin clutch fan off. Whatever you do make sure you replace the small bypass hose while you're in there as well as the thermostat (195° is best), you don't want to be taking that apart again in the middle of winter.
My guess for the idle problem would be a clogged cat. The symptoms sound about right. It's not completely clogged though because if it were, it wouldn't run at all. The fact that you had transmission work done prior could be a coincidence. Actually now that I think of it, there could be a pinched vacuum line or wire somewhere around the bell housing. Unfortunately I haven't had to tear my trans down yet so I haven't delved into that area. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies

Standard thread. There have been several ideas tossed around for how to hold the pulley still while removing the fan. What worked for me was to soak the nut in PB blaster for a while, then take 2 long bolts and slide them into 2 of the holes in the pulley, hold a large flathead screwdriver (or small prybar) between the bolts and hold it while turning the wrench.
