Default Got my cruise control issue solved!!

If anyone remembers, the only issue I had after the manual transmission swap was the cruise control quit working. I always figured it was because I grounded the park/neutral switch, and it won't engage cruise control if it thinks it's in park or neutral, but I was too lazy to problem solve it until now. So what I did was start the truck, cut the P/N signal wire I had grounded to the frame, and then drove off and engaged the cruise control and it worked!

So after I figured out that that was actually the problem, I attached a wire to the P/N switch signal wire and ran it inside the cab. Then I plugged the clutch saftey switch back into the bypass harness that it had always been plugged into when it was an automatic, and cut the same harness out of my project truck. Then I attached the P/N switch to one side of the harness and grounded the other. So what that all means is when the clutch pedal is depressed the computer thinks the truck is in park or neutral, and when the clutch pedal is not depressed, the computer thinks the truck is in gear.

So now the cruise control works, and depressing the clutch pedal will dissengage it like it's supposed to!

And ya'll know I wouldn't write up a post without pics...

And on an unrelated note, I thought I'd share some pictures of my radiator fan/offroad lights wiring job...

Since I'm not planning on using any of the factory wiring in my project truck, I took the PDC and hacked it up, keeping only the wires I needed to run the relays.

So you can see in this picture the new PDC. What I did was run a wire from the battery to a splitter, and from the splitter to my subwoofer amplifier and the new PDC. BTW, the 2nd PDC fits perfectly between the old PDC's mounting hole and the washer tank mounting hole! I didn't have to drill out any new holes in the fender.

I replaced all the fueses with 30 amp fuses except I left one 20 amp. The 20 amp goes to the switch panel for power and then from the switches to the relays to turn them on. Then one relay goes to the fan, and the other three go to the lights (although one of them isn't set up yet cause I still need the lights)...

And here are the switches...

Nice! So just because I got my cruise control working 2 days ago, you had to copy HA!

The book says it can be activated at 35mph. For me its at 40mph. Where does yours start?
It sucks, I want 35MPH. What I love is most new vehicles can start at 25MPH. My Dads 04 Z71 can start at 15MPH.

I added an extra Relay box too. I took it off at some point, I don't remember why though.

And what about the wipers? That is more important. Well not on the weekends. They are made to cruise!!

I am jealous. Crazy, does yours disengage with the clutch? My CC works, but the engine starts revving fast when I hit the clutch.

Lol, yup, and tomorrow I'm going to install a 10,000 lb winch and Ram 2500 leaf springs :P JK!... would be nice though.

I just drove it up and down the street I live on, which isn't very long at all so I just got it up to like 37 or 38 and it activated, so I assume it's 35.

Lol, the wipers.... I read through the FSM several times last night and finally decided it has to be that intermitten wiper control module. I guess I just had 3 bad ones Anyway, I couldn't find it anywhere but direct from mopar, so it's gonna have to be put on hold cause it costs more than it's worth to be right now. I have working wipers, just not any intermitten speeds.

Although I know you seen it but the FSM says "
(3) If there is excessive delay or no variations in
delay, see Wiper/Washer Switch
"
Have you tested your switch? Continuity test is very easy.
