Power steering fluid sprays straight up from somewhere back of the pump. empties the pump in about 1 minute. Eliminated lines as source(covered with rags and still had spray all over the engine. Decided to remove the unit. With everything disconnected except the high pressure line, discovered the 1" union where the high pressure line connects is not tight (it swiveled). Could this be the leak?

 

It sounds like it would be, especially if its the high pressure line, but since nobody here can see it, its impossible to tell you for sure.

 

Also an 02 is a 2nd Gen. This is a 1st Gen.
