I have a 1988 Dodge Dakota Pickup, 3.9L w/ automatic trans, 4X4. I hooked up a code scanner to the port and the scanner couldnt connect with the computer?? The guy hooking it up said that the ground to the computer could be making a bad connection?? He also said that it could be the assesory fuse gone bad but it is good Need Help!!!

 

Tons of possibilities. But it sounds like it is a bad wire issue. Your just going to have to search for it. Look in the FAQ for a wiring diagram from a 1990. It should work for yours.
