Default Where to put my 6X9s?

ok so i couldnt pass it up sony cd player a set of 6.5 2 ways and a set of 3 way 6x9s for $80 at wally world! o yeah i had to. lol. Anyways 6.5s fit like stock no probs but 6x9s yeah different story i dont even know where to try to put them i pulled back rear corner piece(94 reg cab) and i dont think its happening. i could be wrong. so does anyone have any ideas preferably with pictures for them. I read a few threads about in the doors but i dont recall any place they would work so yeah PLEASE POST ME SOME PICTURES!!

p.s. im assuming ignition switch but what would cause me to have NO POWER IN ACC? ya know when you turn the key to acc before run. I have nothing i thought a fuse but no all good even in pdc and i pulled steering column cover off and according to a wire diagram no power at the acc wire off ignition switch. so anyone have this problem before howd that go for ya. Thanks yall.

I have installed 6x9s. What I did was cut out the metal to clear them. Stock is 5x7 or something like that. I will get pics up soon.

As far as the power loss. Yes it can be the switch. Or wires.

Great deal. I wouldn't have passed it up either. I would make a template from the box the speakers came in and mark the opening in the cab. Then either take tin snips or our trusty roto-zip and have at it. When you think about it the 6x9's aren't really that much bigger. They are only about 1/2" top and bottom and an 1" left to right so there is plenty of room on that rear pillar.

I didn't feel like cutting so I cheesed out and got the stock size.

What I did to fit my 6x9s, behind the seat, the passanger and driver, I took out the seatbelt panel, you dont have to take the seatbelt off or anythning just pull the plastic piece up a 90 degree angle it wont break or snap....unless its cold....then I tool a hammer and not too much but hammered the sides by the back of the cab and the closer to the door part of the cab, and the 6x9s just slip right in there and just tap the speaker in lightly...youll see there is liek a premaid speaker hole I think they had stock speakers there before I had installed it this way when I just got the truck.

Put the speaker lower down by the bottom of the bottom part of the seatbelt, I found the higher or more centre the speaker is it rattles, and having it lower I dont hear any rattle at all thats how I just put in my new 6x9s.

Hopefully it works for you unless you found another way....

Also at Canadian tire they have boxes that a really small for 6x9s and thats how I had mine before one behind each seat, they fit perfect, but I didnt have the jack or plastic piece in there anymore, Now I have them in the seatbelt panels in the truck so I can have my sub behind my seat!

Ps. Mines are in a reg cab. ill post up some pics if you liek.
