heat would be nice
got a 95 3.9 auto with little heat i have replaced water pump about a month ago flushed the heater core in early nov. and new 195 stant thermostat in it and i put an aftermarket electric temp gauge in it and it barely reads 100 degrees and only about luke warm air and i replaced the temp sensor (single wire) when i first put the motor in in april 08 and now i am runnin out of ideas thanks for the help guys
There are a few possibilities here, yes, the stat could be lodged in the open position thus it's bad. Depending on which direction you flushed the heater core could make the difference. if you flushed in the direction the water is already going it possibly didn't give the desired effect. You may want to flush in the opposite direction (kinda going against the grain if you will). This may clean more of the possible clog. Just a thought. Crazy poses a great question, where did you place that electronic sensor? How about the heater control lever? Are you sure that it is operating properly? Make sure the movement is fluid and it fully operates the gate to allow the heat to get into the cab. If all of the above checks out then, how are the actual heater hoses? When was the last time they were inspected or replaced?
I hoped I've stirred the creative thinking jucies...
