sas breaks

Default sas breaks

what do you guys think of drum breaks up front got axels from a 74 bronco and it has 11'' drums keep or lose also a 9'' for the back

If it were me, I'd lose the front drum brakes. I don't really have much of a reason, just personal preference.

oohhh. had drums up front on my 73 gremlin and the 82 suzuki lj80. not something i would recommend. takes forever to stop and they need constant maintenance to work right. it's not like the rears where you replace everything and pretty well forget it. if a brake in the rear seizes you can get by. but if the front seizes (and they will) your screwed.

I'd like to add one thing though... you can convert that axle to disc brakes. This site has all the parts you'd need:

If you can get the axle for cheap, it may be worthwhile to go that route. Then you'd at least know all your brake parts are new!

Drum brakes suck! Yes convert it. Or see if you can swap parts from another Ford axle.

al ready have them got both for 550 with radius arms and track bar i knew about bgy trying for cheeper but might be able to

if i had my way i would convert all rears from drum to disc. way better! and last a lot longer maintenance free.
