Default Get it runing??????

Now that I have my 87 all strip down and the under hood wiring harness out I'm stuck pushing it in and out of the garage also when I need to load it up on the trailer. I'm in the middle of a v-8 swap the v-6 is still in it but I need to finish the frame (blast and paint). My ? is how can I get it to run without the wiring harness in the truck. just something temp for now, I know I need the coil wired to a pos, and neg. but what about the dissy? it's a 3 wire what do I need to do to this to make it run, so I can move it when needed? thanks to all. Any help would be great.
This site has been very helpful so far.
As far as plans go this is what I'm doing for those who want to know.
87 reg cab short box with a 92 360 magnum light head work and cam.
fuel cell and batt in the bed
electric fuel pump with reg under hood pass side fender
stock v-6 trans with shift kit for now I'm told it's a 904(?????)
8.1/4 rear with a eaton posi unit and 355 gears
paint is going 2-tone dark grey and silver.
thats about it, to sum it up.

So you need to get the V6 running with the temp fix? I'm not to familiar with early years and carb setups. I personally HATE carbs. My suggestion if needed check with the 1st Gen. Ram. See if they know more about carb setups. How about setting up a winch. You can by electrics for about $40. That will get it into the garage and up a trailer.
