Red face Lift questions for an 88 dak

I am putting a new engine back in my 88 4 x 4 and once it’s in and back on the road I would like to put a 3 inch lift onto the truck to get some bigger tires under it.
What do you recommendations for the best and cheapist (went over budget on the engine) way to lift the truck. I have looked online and find a lot of after market products but not having lifted a dodge before I am not sure what the best corse of action would be.
I have looked around online but there is not much information out there for dak that is this old.

Tons of lift ideas in faq2. But the cheapest way is to tighten the torsion bars, and if you want it higher, buy aftermarket torsion bar keys to tighten them further. Then you can do blocks or a shacke flip in the back. That way will cost under $200, or under $100 if you don't need the keys.

The 2 inch body lift is cheap to start. Just look at how other people are doing there's. If you learn to do welding and fabrication like me then it will be a piece of cake.

Thanks for the information I will try the keys on the torsion bars and a body lift first then go from there. As for wellding and fab. I don't know how to do that but am willing to learn if i get the equipment to do so, and someone to teach me what I am doing.

It is actually usually under $100. No cutting or welding required for the body lift on 4wd, except for the shift linkage. But very simple. You can even take it to a muffler shop.
