Default Interchangeable parts

I just purchased a 94 Dakota, 4x4, 5.2L Magnum V8, extended cab and it is need of some love. My question is what model year(s) parts are interchangeable with my truck. My knowledge is pretty limited so any help will be appreciated.

It just depends which part you need, but a site that helped me get information was http://www.car-part.com/. It searches parts of other years and perhaps other makes that would fit onto a 1st generation dodge dakota. Keep in mind though it's a salvage yard database, so not all parts are going to be in good condition.

Actually there is almost nothing the same about the drivetrains between our trucks and jeeps. The jeep has the starter on the other side so although they have the same transmission, they can't be used because the bellhousing is different. The transfer cases are also the same model numbers, but jeeps have different slip yokes and driveshafts, so they aren't directly swappable either.

Basically, some stuff is swappable with Rams and 2nd gen daks, but you are mostly limited to our trucks.

Yes it depends on what part. But the engine and transmission will be the same as rams, vans, durango, Dakotas, jeep grand Cherokee.

Lol, actually, even some of the interior peices had slight changes throughout the 1st gens!! If you have power windows, the switches moved (I forget what year) from the middle of the door panel to the top. The instrument clusters changed. Most stuff should be swappable though.

Default 1994 Dodge Dakota

I have the 5.2L magnum V8 4x4 also. Getting into the guts of the dash. Previous owner worked real hard on it and there are many broken parts. Is there a resource for parts inside this truck?
I am also looking for head lights to replace the factory ones. They are plastic and faded. Cleaned them several times but I would like to go to the glass lens if possible and improve the lumens. Looking for a running light retrofit package too.
Anything out there?
