SORRY JUST A RANT


i really hate to do it but being a stay at home dad due to an auto accident back in 2006. we are expecting our new baby on monday and i should really get an suv or a 4 door truck. since my son is 4 and still required to use the car seat and he isnt happy in the back of the dakota when he needs to sit back there.


my neighbor wants my truck in the worst way and wants to sell his truck to buy mine. id take his truck but im really not into the chevy trucks, his is a 97 GMC 3500 4 door 4x4 long bed.


what i should do is make my wife drive my truck. i can drive her navigator so i can keep my truck. not happening though


my wife said not to get rid of it and just wait and buy an suv later this year. i havent made up my mind what i am gonna do.

 

Well don't feel bad I had to sell my 77 Yamaha Bike, 50 Desoto, My stroker motor that I was going to drop into my TA, when the baby came.

Well I have one 1 year old now. We have the car seat in the truck. At times I need to take my nephew places and I have a car seat for him. Heck if I wanted I could fit another car seat on the other side. 3 all together. So there is plenty of room for it all. I can post up a pic tomorrow when I get a chance.

maybe ill see about getting different car seat since the one i have for my son sits straight up when in the back and he is very uncomfortable. its ok when he is up front.


also i should note that my wife didnt make it to be induced today, she went into labor sunday morning. good thing she held out until sunday due to the 20 plus inches of snow that got dumped on us friday and saturday

My club cab has a car seat in it for my 9 month old...it's a tight fit but it works. I might try to put it in the middle to see if i can put my passenger seat back because right now its all the way forward, and the wife has a hard time sitting there...
.

 

Yup, we have one kid (2) one seat fits, the other doesn't. shee sits pretty straight up in th one that fits, the one that doesn't fit is a lot more comfy for her. Go figure, I think she likes Mom's car better.

 

I have a 6 and 8 year old and they don't fit in the back with car seats. So I use the truck for daddy's world and use the Grand Cherokee for family stuff. I say get a GC and have fun with the kids in the woods.

 

i am leaning towards a grand cherokee or a durango.

its so hard to let my dakota go since it does really good in the snow and at the cabin but i cant justify having 3 vehicles for myself to use.
