My transmission won't go into park. (318 Magnum V8).
I've taken the linkages loose and for some reason it seams like inside the trans, something isn't allowing the mech to click into the park position.
Anybody have any ideas for me?

Just got to open the tranny and check. There is a shifter rod that comes from the gear selector all the way to the back of the transmission where it locks it into park. If you want check the FAQ in this section for the service manual. It will have pictures of the shift linkage inside the transmission.

Thanks for the info.....I'm still looking for a shop manual picture.
Will I need to pull the transmission out of the truck, or will I be able to see this by removing the transmission pan ?
