The center console is very easy to remove. Its like 4 screws and its out. And it is not attached to the seats at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if the bolted right up. I had buckets in my '92 and my '93. I need a new center console for my '93 though.

so if you have a bench seat in an 89.. how does the swap to 1st gen buckets work? do the brackets mount up to the bench seat holes? Id like to ditch my bench seat although it is a shelby bench seat and put some buckets in there.

The center console is the same that was in my '92 shadow and it wasnt connected to the seats in the shadow. Just saying in case anyone wants to look for another source for a console to put in their truck.

I wanna say yes and no there. I took the 4 out that were in the actual cubby with the lid and then it was still kinda sticking so I just pulled up and heard a snap so I looked on the bottom and there were 2 fingernail sized pieces missing on the center console and 2 screws in the floor. I dont know how to access them without ripping out the coin holder(?)/cubby that looks like you cant rip out..I dont know. Maybe I just had to slid it forward or something?

the trey at the front pops out when you take the piece on the front of the tall part off and there are 2 screws under there and 4 screws in the cubby with the lid for a total of 6 screws. If you would like I will try to get pics of how to do it tomorrow.
