weight of a 95 dakota

Default weight of a 95 dakota

does anyone know the actualy weight of a 95 dodge dakota, ext cab, short box, 4x4, with the 318 in it seems i have the wrong door on mine so the weight is listed for a 2x4 model at 1700 pounds

1700 is not the weight, that's probably something to do with hauling capcity, I'd have to look at my door to see.

I've had mine on a scale and it was right about 4000-4100 with a half tank.

Ya none of the weights that are on the door sticker are the actual weights. They are what the truck is safe to haul/ carry.

Ya just like above I had mine weighed. When it was 2wd V8 Club Cab it weighed 4,000lbs without me.

alright thanks, i need to get it closer to 5500 pounds in order to properly abuise it in the truck pulls this year haha, i'll get pics and let u guys know how she takes the punishment

I can tell you right now the frame is not sturdy enough to take that kind of abuse. If you're serious about using it in truck pulls, you may want to consider boxing in the frame and probably looking for a stronger rear axle.
