Come on! Out of all people. You have to use CHEATER blocks. Just go get a 2500 or 3500 springs.

I thought about doing all the above except the blocks of coarse. For me it would be for articulation. Keep it the same hight. But I got TONS of articulation so it is not needed. Just would be cool!

Also why not just build your own shackles. Just 2 spacers and 2 brackets. Very simple to make.

Trust me Felipe, I will avoid using blocks as much as possible! You know I feel the same way about them as you do! And I am definately planning on paying a visit to the junkyard for some 2500 or 3500 springs (I forgot to mention that before). I will need all the help I can get for preventing axle wrap!

BUT... if the hanger swap, longer shackles (I won't go over 2 inches), and repacked springs don't get her high enough, I'll use cheater blocks to get the rest. Its not like the other mods won't get me a heck of a lot more articulation! But I just can't afford to pay for high-arched springs right now. Heck, the only reason I haven't started this swap already is cause I'm over budget and have to wait on buying the last couple parts (which should be coming up within the next week).

What I would really love to do is set up a ladder bar suspension with dual-shackled leaf springs! It would be simple enough and just a little bit different.

I just found the easiest, fairly cheap solution to lifting the rear.

I'm going to order all new stock bushings for the leaf springs, and get these shackles...

...and attach them to the factory shackles after the flip (have 2 shackles on each side). That will give me tons of downflex!! Also, being 6 inches long, plus whatever the hanger swap gives, plus repacking the leaf springs should let me avoid using blocks.
