Post '95 Cruise Controls switches are loose.

Hi everyone! The cruise control on my '95 works just fine (better than the cruise on our Volvo!) but the buttons mounted in the steering wheel are loose and floppy. Does anyone know if they can be repaired or replaced? I have not found any replacement buttons\switches online.

Thanks for your help!

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

And the FSM available for download in faq will give the teardown procedure.

There are 2 screws on the back side of the steering wheel. Just tighten them down. See if that fixes your problem.

I like the 92-93 switches instead of 94-up.

I will check the screws on the back of steering wheel; they may be okay as the tops of the individual buttons are loose, not the complete assembly. Thanks for the suggestion!

If your talking about what I think your talking about, you have no problem at all.
Your supposed to be able to press the tops of the buttons in a little. The bottoms of the buttons should not really move.
Think of it like this: the cruise control buttons are basically hinged at the bottom.

The exception to this would be there the second from the left button would be (that's where the "cruise control ON light" is). That doesn't move, not even the top of it.

Thanks everyone for the help! I replaced the cruise control switches with a unit I ordered from Rock Auto. Removed the two screws, unplugged the old switches, plugged in the new unit, replaced the screws and it was fixed! Good as new.

You guys know your stuff and have saved me a bunch of $$$!
