91' dak running bad

aaahh guys i was out of it yesterday when i took it off. I didn't take the iac out and clean it just the fuel regulator i believe and i did a lot of cleaning to the throttle body i guess that just helped a little. Where is the IAC! i looked on the diagram and mine doesn't seem to be like that.

okay my truck doesn't have an iac valve it has a physical acutator on the throttle linkage?

ALRIGHT. Last post. FIXED IT! 91' dakotas do not have an IAC valve they have a physical actuator on the throttle linkage that maintains idle. The one on my truck seems sluggish so i adjusted how long the it is form the actuator to the throttle on the intake. This seems to have fixed it for now since the actuator no longer is contacting the throttle so easily. The one thing I don't understand is what does it do? Raise idle when the trucks cold, or for cruise control?
