Finally, here are some pictures:

One of the as cast intake manifold ports next to a (nearly) finished one.

That's supposed to have friction material on it......

Those are supposed to be flat

I think they got toasty

Those too...

It's not much, but it's a LOT better than a stock valve body

Transmission is DONE

Slip yoke fits and seals

Short of a little wiring and some accessories (alternator/AC compressor) the engine's done

Car is at the shop!

Here's a pic of the headers that are coming for this

I swapped the 01 5.9 23.2s in, almost went with the injectors out of the 2.7 since they are 2 hole nozzles, but they're angled and would have sprayed all over the port walls Not to mention about 3/8" shorter, so I would have needed to modify the fuel rails somehow... Got the cam swap done, even installed a 6* offset cam key to advance the cam a bit

Hope to get the engine/trans out of the car today and start mounting up the magnum. Might even get to start on the rear end if all goes well and I manage to get some help...

Looks like it was toast. That is going to be a nice swap. To bad Dodge never came out with a V8 car till the Hemi. Definitely keep up the good work and tons of pics!

Yep, that it was, but that`s why it was a core and only cost me $75 Luckily I had an almost complete 46RE laying around to do some parts swapping. I also installed a 3.8 ratio lever out of a 47RH (the stock one was a 2.5) and used a spare kickdown strut to make a laminated one.

I got the EV6 injector connectors soldered and heat shinked in place as well as installed the wiring harness on the engine. Then I rolled the car in off the trailer and just finished yankibg the engine/trans as the wife showed up to fetch me lol

I`ll post up some more pics tomorrow after I get back from physical therapy

I'd post up some underhood pics, but it's pretty ugly under there yet... I'm still working on getting everything cleaned up under there (wires everywhere). I'll have plenty of time to do so too; I have to come up with $100 for a Cam Position Sensor and a Crank Position Sensor. I knew this thing was gonna nickel and dime me to death, but sheesh, this is ridiculous!

Well I got it started a little while ago only to find I had two bad injectors But I figured I should share the youtube link anyway.

I did acquire a set of good used injectors to put in (for $50), but I have to solder the EV1 connectors back on. Oh and I was kinda wondering if a 75hp wet shot of NOS would kill the poor little 318 or not??? The kit I'm looking at had 25/40/75hp nozzles...

Nice! Thats a tight fit!!

I'd be willing to bet the 318 could handle a 75 shot of nitrous, but don't hold me to that! :P Seriously though, the bottom end of these engines are really tough.

Oh trust me, after years of racing Mopars on the 1/4 mile oval I know the bottom ends are TOUGH. The only thing I was wondering about would be the stock cast slugs taking the cylinder pressure spike associated with NOS. Also, the kit I am looking at only has one fogger... I wonder if going with two foggers and installing a TB spacer with the foggers installed one on each side under the throttle plates using either two 35hp nozzles or MAX of the two 50hp nozzles would be a good idea??? I did the kegger mods and cut my runners at about a 60* angle, and I used my carbide burr to clean up as much of the rough cast as possible, but it's only a 3.5" burr... I guess the fact that it will only be active during WOT should help keep it from pooling on the plenum plate, but should I be worried about uneven distribution? If you guys can't already tell this is my first time playing with the idea of NOS

Or I could just not bother with NOS unless I get an M1... I dunno though, the kit is pretty darn cheap (under $400) maybe we'll just have to see if the kegger really screws with even delivery or not. Or I could just say no to drugs and leave it be Either way, hopefully it will be hitting on all 8 by the end of the night tonight and I'll have some new videos for you guys next week

Well, it seemed peculiar that injectors number 7&8 didn't have signal, so I figured I must have somehow gotten a 3.9 V6 PCM... Went down and pulled the PCM out of the truck that my wiring harness came out of and put it in, low and behold, it RUNS (correctly)! The only thing I don't like is that it is a PCM from a 360 truck. So we'll see how it likes running the 318, but I think I'll keep an eye out for someone looking to do a 318-360 swap and trade them PCMs.

Now that I can't answer. What do you mean by slugs? You may want to at the very least stud the heads first.

I don't know much of anything about nitrous, or how they are set up, but rather than dumping them into the throttle body, how about drilling and tapping the intake manifold maybe right above the vacuum lines and putting the nitrous injectors right into the manifold one on each side? Just a thought.

The 360 PCM will run the 318 just fine! I have a Mopar Performance computer for a 5.9 Dodge Ram running my 318, and its never given me an issue!

Actually, it will be better for you at WOT to have the bigger engine computer! At WOT, the computer shuts down input from the o2 sensors and dumps in a "predetermined" amount of gas, which would be higher for the 5.9 than for the 5.2. So if you've opened up the intake and have a good exhaust system, it should be faster at WOT with the 5.9 computer.
