This is true, plus they have to fight with being a peg leg FWD and having torque management But still, on the street lacking nearly 25hp and being a couple hundred pounds heavier means I probably shouldn`t try anything funny...

I wouldn't doubt it if you pass them good. I have never seen a fast Intrepid even the R/T's.

I know my wife's 300M is pretty darn responsive, though my truck does leave it in the dust... Either way, if I run into anything that whips my **** on the street I'll just have to find them and try again after the 360 swap lol.

Anyway, with the few simple mods, what do you feel would be a good guesstimate on hp for my lil 318?

So whats the difference between the different injectors? I was told that using different injectors other than stock flow rate would cause the engine to run rich or lean. Care to enlighten me on this?

Well, took the car for a spin the other day... Definitely gonna need traction bars, it`s ridiculously easy to kick the rear end out. Also, found out the 318 doesn`t like running below 1500rpm in open loop for too long. I chalk that up to the 360 PCM and 23.2 injectors. But, I brought it in the shop and installed the front half of my exhaust and the O2 sensor. Wow does it ever purr like a kitten once it hits closed loop, throttle response is CRISP in closed loop too. So, I`m gonna try and get the rear brakes hooked up today and see if the shocks I have laying around are short enough to work. Maybe if all goes well I`ll throw a set of used tires on the back and go have some fun

The difference in between the injectors is like I said. As for the rich issue, the computer will get an oxygen reading from the 02 sensor. That will cause the computer to adjust the duel timing of the injector. So it will try to keep a 14:1 ratio. The added power increase comes from the extra fuel it can dump in the engine when power is needed at higher throttle, then it may be rich but that is the only time.

It's ideal that the A/F ratio be closer to 12:1 under WOT anyway

Anyway, got my brakes hooked up only to find the passenger side line was cracked right at the wheel cylinder. So now I gotta pick up some lines when I go to work tomorrow (I work at Advance Auto Parts now ). I'll probably have to put wheel cylinders in it too; looks like the line nut is rusted pretty tight. Maybe I'll throw my wheel seals in while I have it in the air and the tires off... The shocks I had at the shop are all too long, so I'll have to dig in the shelves to see if I can find something that will work.

So it'll be a little while yet before I go out and do any donuts. I also see that I smacked my oil pan on the pavement already. So it seems as though I have to build some strut spacers to raise the front of the car a bit; the V8 made it sag about 1.5" more than the V6 it replaced. Which leaves me with about 2.5" between the pan and the ground But I've already got it figured out and I have the required tools to reset my camber

Got the strut spacers made, I'm a lot happier with the pan clearance now... Still haven't fixed the brakes, but the rears really aren't needed to do donuts and burnouts I picked up a Hurst Pro Matic II shifter *YEY* So now once I get that put in I'll feel better about not short shifting it and getting it inbetween the detents Also finally got a set of MSD Street Fire plug wires that are cut to length so I can custom fit them to my liking

Just thought I'd let you guys know that I should be putting up some burnout vids soon

Wow, over a month later and I`m finally getting back to getting things done... Got the shifter and shocks in, got the exhaust back a couple feet from the y-pipe too.

All I can say is wow! Rides like a dream, corners decent (especially for not having any sway bars) and I`m nearly deaf... I never thought I would ever say this, but I definitely need a muffler. I can pick up Thrush Welded "mufflers" cheap at work, so that`s probably the route I`ll go.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I picked up a sure-grip for $100. New never installed even has new bearings installed on it already

ENJOY!

BTW, is the Mopar Performance PCM worth it? Summit says 10bhp/15ft-lbs max improvement on a 360 for $280 other places claim 20-30hp??? Which do I listen to? The higher side (or at least the mid range) since my engine isn't completely stock with the ported heads, TB and headers? I'm already annoyed that the 360 PCM is having issues trimming the fuel curve and tends to surge a little when cruising. Plus it's actually more cold blooded than a carb
